Why Do We Need Self-Validation?

Validation is a social construct that reflects on our reliance on others to confirm that we are on the right path. It can be in relation to who we are going to vote for or how we are going to behave in a specific situation. It can be as much as wearing your hear up or down, ripped jeans or office trousers etc.

This process of keeping ourselves in check means that we’re bound by the experience and level of understanding that our ‘validator’ owns. If we have friends from childhood who didn’t move grow out of their parents beliefs into their own, asking for their advise is like asking your 5 years younger you for it.

The answers we receive are as good as the questions. Ask yourself this: what’s holding you back? What’s your biggest fear and what’s the worse that can happen? Now prepare for the ‘worse’ and work towards the best. Life will surprise you.
