Caring with Kindness

How often did you lose your temper or words didn’t really form the way they should and you looked for a way out in the intention you’ve set? The intention is valued very little if it’s not formed in an open and kind way. Love cannot be portrayed through negative attitudes as much as we like to lie to ourselves and tell ourselves that that’s alright. It shouldn’t be. Act from a place of love with kindness and you are more likely to get the response you are after.

Taking Responsibility or Taking the Blame?

Taking responsibility takes courage and a strong sense of self. It is a trait of an honorable person. But what if you’ve learnt early on that by taking responsibility you expose yourself to the vulnerability of being blamed? Blame is a negative emotion and it sits at the opposite side of the spectrum from taking responsibility. If it’s being projected on us, it reveals feeling that the other person has difficulty dealing with. By taking responsibility you can set a barrier between what matters and the void of being trapped in the past. Blame doesn’t exist in the present moment.

Aiming to Create rather than Destroy

Travelling, eating good food, having a good time… all these are goals that we can easily relate to. But everything comes at a cost and the financial aspect comes second when we realize that time invested in these activities take away from the time that we could be spending growing and impacting the world. So next time you’re laying in bed, feeling bored, remember that this very second is all you’ve got. We only live in the present moment, yet our actions accumulate and create long-lasting impact – either positively or negatively. Not choosing is not an option. What’s your aim?

Allowing Change to Feed Our Growth

We’ve all witnessed global changes in the past few months and how they tie in with people’s ability to adjust, learn and grow. Building a temple of stillness within doesn’t lock out stimuli that help us grow, it helps us witness events calmly and move into a peaceful direction of growth. It is anger what keeps the teachings of outer events away and deprives us from self-development. When we negate the reality of other people and the state of the world and instead we use them as an opportunity to harvest anger, we choose involution over evolution. Our power comes from within and opening the doors to compassion and understanding is what puts our power at the service of the good.

Which Way?

We sometimes fail to recognize that what’s immediately in front of us is not what our whole life is about. We have the ability to shift focus and give importance to aspects of life that can bring joy rather than sadness. Or we can indulge in our own misery, find some good company in people who have similar interests and forget that life is an opportunity. And just like any opportunity, we can take it or put it on hold until ‘someday’.

The Value of Learning Something New Every Day

Learning new things is what keeps us alive, prosperous and happy. Is the alternative to boredom and moving sluggishly through life. Targeted learning creates opportunities to become the expert, the person that knows enough so that everyone in the room listens to them. And that can be intimidating at times, but sharing information and educating people is not about you, but about their progress and their journey.

We learn something new everyday, is what they say. It would be more accurate to say that we have the opportunity to learn everyday, what we do with it depends on our mindset. If we think that we know, the conversation ends before even getting started. The age on earth doesn’t matter. The degrees, the upbringing. All that matters is the mindset.
